Peckforton Castle wedding photography
Peckforton Castle is one of the most prestigious wedding venues in the North West, possibly the country. For starters, it’s a real castle set in its own secluded forest! From the moment you turn off the road, through the archway of the gatehouse and begin to climb up through the tree-lined road, until you catch your first glimpse of the Castle itself, you realise that you’re arriving at somewhere rather special.
The venue is simply wonderful. There are photo opportunities lurking around every corner. Each of the rooms is spectacular – the Great Hall certainly lives up to its name, while the Drawing Room and Hexagonal Dining Rooms both offer very different moods in which to have your wedding breakfast. Then there is the Wine Cellar – possibly the most atmospheric bar I’ve photographed in! I’ve shot at the castle on numerous occasions, in all seasons, over many years – so I know the little corners and places that make for great photos. And there are plenty of them!
The outside has scale aplenty while the interior shouts grandeur. If you’re looking for a grand venue to celebrate your wedding day in magnificence, then look no further.
The gallery contains a selection of images from some of the weddings I’ve shot recently at Peckforton Castle.
