Photographing a wedding at Arley Hall is always a great pleasure. I always look forward to working there, and one of my favourite Arley weddings recently was the marriage of Charlotte and Andrew.
You always learn a lot about a couple when you do a pre-wedding shoot with them, and the photos that I created with Charlotte and Andrew that day tell you a lot about them as people – they are one of the most energetic and fun couples I’ve ever met. I posted about it on my old blog and you can read about it and see some of the images here. So I couldn’t wait for the wedding day to come around, and I wasn’t disappointed.
The day started in Wilmslow, at the house where Charlotte grew up, then moved on to Arley Hall for the civil ceremony and wedding celebration. Big thanks to the best man, ushers and bridesmaids for the best Dr Evil impression and ‘Give me blue steel’ looks during the formal group shots. Oh, and in case you hadn’t guessed, yes Charlotte’s favourite colour is purple. One look at the beautiful flowers (which were provided by another regular Arley supplier, G D Flowers) should tell you that!
So, without further ado, here are some of the highlights of the day.
